My wife and I spent Valentine's Day in a beautiful riad in Marrakech; so I ordered some red roses for February 14th, via Interflora. They arrived on the evening of Feb 13 and some enjoyably farcical things had to be negotiated in order to preserve the surprise. Given that Marrakech is a great centre of rose cultivation perhaps I should have procured them locally myself, but they were lovely roses, and the motorbike despatch rider was charming if early.

Perfect. I requested a bouquet of 12 roses to be sent to my girlfriend in Crete, Greece for Valentine's Day. They arrived in perfect condition and bang on time... really saved my buns and earned me brownie points with my girlfriend. :-)
