A Little Bit About Us At Nicolla Florist

Based in the centre of Wetherby, opposite the Morrisons superstore, Nicolla Florist offers an extensive range of floristry designs for any occasion. They cater for both the modern or traditional taste and can offer a bespoke service should you have a particular requirement. If you are planning a wedding why not arrange a consultation or visit the manager, Ellen at one of the many Wedding Fayres that she attends? Ellen can cater for your wedding requirements wherever you are in the country. Nicolla Florist is also able to cater for all types of funeral tributes big or small and can offer helpful advice if desired. Active within the community, Nicolla Florist often supports the local charities and events in any way they can and have been established for over 30 years. Wetherby itself lies on the banks of the River Wharfe and is at the centre of the Leeds, Harrogate and York triangle. Winner of the Britain in Bloom Award for 1998, Wetherby represented Britain in the 1999 European "Entente Florale" - and won the coveted gold medal. In 2002 and 2010 Wetherby received a silver gilt award in the Britain in Bloom town category and in 2005 were judged to be the winner of the small town category of the Communities in Bloom International Challenge. If you are visiting the area, local tourist attractions include a Historical Trail which takes place in the centre and offers a fascinating insight into Wetherby’s past. There is free parking by the bandstand in the town and many coffee shops and restaurants to unwind in. There is of course the popular Wetherby Racecourse, which is also the starting point for the Great Yorkshire Bike Ride- an annual event held in June. The 70 mile ride ends in Filey. The event has raised nearly £2 million for charity since its inception in 1984
