A Little Bit About Us At Johnsons The Florists

Located on the busy High Street of Burton-on-Trent, with plenty of nearby parking, Johnson’s the Florist has been trading since 1881. The shop joined Interflora in 1929, being one of the longest serving establishments in the country. Five generations of the same family have been at the helm over the years and have built an outstanding reputation for both quality and service. Johnson’s the Florist are known for their exotic varieties of flowers and plants and have a wealth of experience in all areas – particularly weddings. Whether you are planning a small or large wedding, traditional or on the wacky side, Kevin Johnson and his team are able to put together the perfect package, whatever your budget. From buttonholes to marquee dressing, there is a bespoke package to suit you and your special day. The team are also experts in more sombre occasions and can advise on all types of funeral tributes. Their knowledge and ability to create the perfect final farewell tribute will put you at ease during a stressful time. Burton-on- Trent is probably most famous for its eight breweries, but it is also the site of two famous battles at Burton Bridge. During the first English Civil War, the royalists took over the town in 1643. It was also the site where the Earl of Lancaster was defeated by Edward II back in 1322. Other attractions include The National Brewery Centre, The Kandy Factory, Claymills Victorian Pumping Station and Stapehill Gardens. Places to stay within a short distance of the centre include The Hilton at St. Georges Park, Dovecliff Hotel and the Premier Inn.
