Now that the seemingly endless summer is starting to cool off, it’s time to look ahead to the trends emerging for the new season.
We caught up with Interflora Florist of the Year Laura Leong to talk all things autumn, including what colours, flowers and foliage are set to be big for the months ahead.
“Autumn is undoubtedly my favourite time of year in the shop. I love all autumn flowers and foliage, for their richness of colour and texture.
“One of the main colour stories that is coming through is this unashamedly autumnal colour palette of flame red, tawny orange and golden lime. It conjures up memories of woodland walks with the fallen leaves beneath your feet.
“Some may view it as an obvious choice for the new season but there’s no denying the wonderful nostalgia this traditional colour palette evokes.
“Key to bringing this colour theme to life are some of autumn’s most beautiful flowers – think the very structural knipofia, beautifully textured carmathus and glossy hypericum berries.”
