I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what flowers might show up at one of the most talked-about weddings of our generation: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. And honestly? As a florist, it’s basically impossible not to get excited about it.

Because if that engagement picture is anything to go by, flowers aren’t just going to be decoration. They’re going to tell a story. A symbolic, slightly hidden, very intentional story… the kind Swifties will absolutely be decoding for years.

So here’s how I’d read the floral tea leaves if I were designing the wedding myself.

The bridal bouquet: where the real clues will be

For me, the bouquet is always the emotional centre of a wedding. It’s the thing everyone notices up close, and it usually says the most about the bride without her having to say anything at all.

Roses are the obvious go-to. They’re timeless, romantic, and basically the universal language of love. I’d expect soft blush tones if we’re leaning into seasonality and that effortless, ethereal vibe Taylor does so well.

But I don’t actually think she’ll go too obvious.

Peonies feel like a really meaningful choice. They’re traditionally linked to a happy marriage. And when you think about how much Taylor’s music explores heartbreak, growth, and finding love again, it would be such a subtle but powerful way to bring that story full circle.

That said, I could also see her going a bit more “if you know, you know” with it. Think more like astrantia scabious, that slightly untamed, poetic feel. Very “secret garden,” very lyric-coded.

Or… she could completely surprise everyone with something bold like protea. They’re having a serious design moment right now, and symbolically they represent transformation and courage. Which, let’s be honest, is basically her entire brand.

The ceremony setup: full-on romantic immersion

If there’s one thing I’d bet on, it’s that the ceremony space will feel like stepping into another world.

A rose arch would be an instant classic. Imagine walking through layers of soft petals in blush, cream, and deep romantic reds - it’s giving “entering a love story,” which feels very on-brand for them.

Then there’s hydrangea “clouds,” which I’m personally obsessed with. Big, soft, floating-looking clusters overhead that make everything feel a bit dreamlike, like you’re sitting inside a fairytale rather than a venue.

And I wouldn’t be shocked if there’s a full floral wall moment either. It’s perfect for photos, yes, but also for storytelling. We already saw lilies and peonies in the engagement imagery, so I could easily see those making a return as a subtle nod to that chapter.

The tables: basically an “Eras Tour” in floral form

This is where things could get really fun.

Taylor’s career is basically a masterclass in reinvention; country roots, pop domination, indie-folk softness, full theatrical sparkle. So why wouldn’t the wedding reflect that?

I could see each table having its own identity:

Bold, sculptural blooms like dahlias or calla lilies to reflect her newer, more confident, high-glam moments

It would basically be the Eras Tour… but in floral form, sitting on linen tablecloths.

Final thought: nothing will be accidental

If there’s one thing I know from working with weddings at this scale of emotion, it’s that nothing like this will be random. Every bloom will mean something. Every colour will be chosen for a reason. And even the “simple” flowers will probably have layers of meaning most people won’t notice unless they’re really looking.

And honestly? That’s the fun of it.

Because with Taylor Swift, even the flowers will probably come with Easter eggs.
