Our Interflora Florists

Interflora is built on more than just 100 years of experience, it’s built on hundreds of years of combined floristry expertise across a dedicated network of over 900 florists. Florists with heritage, a story to tell and legacy to uphold, florists working within their local community to help it thrive and florists with their own individual floristry style. But most importantly, florists with the same goal of wrapping up your sentiments in a beautiful handmade bespoke bouquet and delivering it personally to your special person with care.

March Florist of the Month - Blossom and Grow, Harlow, Essex

Blossom and Grow Harlow-51

Rachel has only ever worked in the floristry industry, starting at 16 years young helping out in a local florist shop while she studied at college; that job turned into a 10 year career, until 4 years ago when she took the leap to open her own shop, Blossom and Grow. But of course she couldn’t have done it without the help of her mum, Angela, who at the time was at home, retired and didn’t realise that “lending a hand” would turn into a full time job! Where would we all be without our mothers?

They make a great team and work together seamlessly, knowing what job they each need to do, covering different aspects of the shop; Rachel will make the bouquets, Angela will wrap and box them ready for Rachel to deliver, and then Angela clears up the debris; these two really do have each others backs.

Both admit to not being very ‘girly’ girls, despite coming from a female dominated family, and were bought up that no matter who you are, if something needs doing you just get on and do it. Angela says, “we won’t ask men to do it, we’ll just get on and do it. We can all decorate, change the oil in the car, change the wheel etc.”, so at least we all know our flowers will be delivered on time!

Rachel is already eying up the next generation of florists in the family, “my nieces, they’ve grown up with that too so they’re not afraid to get their hands dirty; hopefully they’ll have a creative side but also the physical mentality of just getting things done.” Rachel is looking forward to International Women’s Day and the opportunity to recognise the women around her, women that might not normally be recognised on Mother’s Day, and celebrating the girl power that helps Blossom and Grow thrive.

Our Florists Are Award Winning

“Our Interflora Artisan Award meant so much to us it, it provided us with the recognition we needed from Interflora for all the hard work we put into creating the design’s and getting them delivered on time with great customer service and it is lovely to see our hard work was paying off.”

Our Florist FAQs

Re-cut the stems at an angle, they get an air-lock so quickly, especially roses, once it’s out of water that end will seal up and the head will droop - cut that end!

- Jodie, Flowers By Zoe

From a one week work experience placement to a full time job, I love it and get up to run work every Monday! In that week, it changed my life, it was like my calling! I loved being surrounded by flowers everyday and being able to create for customers and make them happy. Being able to create something beautiful for someone, for a loved one, it means a lot to me, I’ve grown as a person, it’s made me who I am today.

- Celina, Flowergirl

It’s personal, something different to the run of the mill, taking in a little of my crazy personality.

- Michelle Grainger, Michelle’s Flowers Ltd.

I like that it’s got peaks and troughs, I love Valentine’s, Mother’s Day, Christmas where we work the long hours with the high level of orders coming in, then you get the nice settle down, then you get the wedding season.

- Stephanie, Pickerings Florist

Every day is different and flowers change week to week throughout the year. The seasonality of it is great and all the different celebrations we get to do throughout the year.

- Andrew, Williamson’s My Florist

It’s not just about floristry, it’s about imagination and making it work.

- Myra, Williamson’s My Florist

Being able to adapt to change. We handle births, marriages and deaths and all have different way’s of dealing with it, I like that challenge.

- Allan, Henderson’s Flowers

We always make the deadline. There’s always lots of laughs and giggles and coffee in between, coffee keeps us sane, definitely!

- Lesley-Anne, Stalks & Stems.

Or, if like the ladies of Ludlow, you have just pulled an all-nighter for Valentines Day and share your town with Michelin Star chef, Claude Bosi, you will be hand delivered a “tureen of soup in full chefs outfit”!

- Sarah, Florabunda

We cater for all sorts of occasions from the happiest ones to the saddest ones. Floristry has made me see funerals differently, and I feel that being able to do something special and unique for somebody that represents that persons character is actually quite a gift.

- Jonathon, Pavillion Flowers

I like pressure, I like the big weddings, I like the end achievements, the big designs, that bit of stress, I thrive on that.
