Motherhood Stories: Sarah

Number two in our series of films embracing the messy magic of motherhood, this time we meet Sarah and Jen. For our first film, and to find out more about why we went trawling for different motherhood stories, read this post.

Sarah’s story really is something special. She was nominated by her close friend Jen, who is in awe of her ability to make her own rules when it comes to motherhood.

Sarah had her little girl, Norah, with the help of a donor in 2021, after deciding in a covid lockdown she was ready to become a mum. Despite being a solo parent, she says she’s ‘anything but alone’ thanks to her ‘village’ of family and friends.

Jen describes her as ‘the ultimate role model’ – someone who shows other that they can follow their dreams. She explained she nominated Sarah for a proper thank you this Mother’s Day because not only is she being an amazing mum to little Norah, she’s showing that ‘love is not dependent on having two parents’.
