Interflora is built on more than just 100 years of experience, it’s built on hundreds of years of combined floristry expertise across a dedicated network of about 900 UK florists. Florists with heritage, a story to tell and legacy to uphold, florists working within their local community to help it thrive and florists with their own individual floristry style. But most importantly, florists with the same goal of wrapping up your sentiments in a beautiful handmade bespoke bouquet and delivering it personally to your special person with care.

Lizz loves roses, Ella likes viburnum and chamomile, and Alfie can mostly be found enjoying the chrysanthemums - literally! The new shop dog has developed a love of flowers too.

Lizz, owner of Fleur by Lizz in Peterborough has had a love of floristry her whole life, “I became a florist because I didn’t want to go to uni so I had to find something else to do (laughs), found floristry, stuck with it, and I loved it! It is in my family, my Mum did horticulture and my Grandma was always playing around with flowers at home so I guess it’s in our blood.” Ella has been working along side Lizz for 9 years, “I studied Horticulture and then found Lizz, she trained me up as a florist and now I’ll never turn back. I love floristry, it’s the best industry you can be in - and will always be a florist I think!”

Lizz and Ella especially enjoy floristry in these summer months, with the availability of British blooms playing into their floristry style, Lizz tells us “I do like traditional stems and was excited to get a British bouquet to do recently, it was nice to get mixed buckets of seasonal British flowers;” by contrast Ella says, “my style tends to be more wild and more textured, I don’t really stick to the traditional style, I like to put more of the free flowing garden stems in.” One thing is for sure, this duo are the perfect compliment to each other.

When Steve had the opportunity to bid for a covid recovery fund he took a holistic approach; Broomhill, has one of the highest pollution rates in Sheffield due to standing traffic, so he oversaw the installation of a giant living green wall, absorbent of CO2 emissions and helping lower pollution.

Our Florist FAQs

Re-cut the stems at an angle, they get an air-lock so quickly, especially roses, once it’s out of water that end will seal up and the head will droop - cut that end!
