Stéphane Chanteloube
Biography
Beginning as a floristry apprentice at the age of 17 in Marmilhat, I’ve competed in several competitions over the years starting in 1999 in the French "Coupe Espoir Interflora", and being awarded Silver medal at the French Oscar for young florists in 1999.
Having worked in the industry for 28 years, I’ve opened two of my own shops, the first in 2001 in my hometown Gerzat and the second in Riom in 2018. I’ve been an ambassador and demonstrator of HORTISUD for French flowers at the Hyères Flower Market since 2011, demonstrating in France, Holland and Switzerland and online to promote French flowers. I have also been a FLORIFORM trainer in France and an ambassador and demonstrator of Smithers Oasis France® since 2011.
My team and I are renowned in the region in the wedding world, working on between 80-100 weddings a season in different castles and estates. We have worked on the weddings of several celebrities over the years including Renaud Lavillenie (Gold medalist in the pole vault at the Olympic Games in 2012), Paul Jedrasiak (French rugby player) and Larissa Ngangoum (Miss Cameroon 2014).
Career Highlights
There’s a lot I’ve been proud of but it has to be being crowned winner of the French Florists' Cup in 2011 and obtaining the title "Un des meilleurs Ouvrier de France" in October 2018.

What inspires your competitor's style and floral designs and why?
Nature and my garden. I like the opulence of flowers, my favourites are classic flowers: Peony, Ranunculus, Garden Rose, Anemone and Dahlia.
