I’m an accredited member of the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD), Professional Floral Communicators International and European Masters Certification (EMC).
I’ve learned a lot from being a commentator for the Education Specialist Team for Teleflora, a featured designer in a number of industry publications, networks and podcasts, a lead instructor at the Dr. Delphinium Design Institute in Dallas, Texas, all whilst being the sole proprietor for my own business Jenny T Floristry.
I’ve published two books on floral design: ‘Perishable Poetics: Manifesting Emotion through Contemporary Floral Design’ and ‘Endless Florescence: Transformative Contemporary Dried Floral Design’ and I’m the CEO and Product Developer for Meraki Floral Tools, a new tool company and resource worldwide.
I’m honoured to have presented in 2015, 2018 & 2022 at the AIFD National Symposium and represented North America in 2016 & 2018 at Fleuramour in Belgium. I’ve also been a member of the decorating team for the White House For Christmas, an AIFD Team Designer at the Philadelphia Flower Show in 2016 & 2017, as well as a dynamic speaker and educator for various groups and schools.
I’ve competed here within the US as well as China, crossing borders to teach in Mexico and Canada and utilising virtual platforms for programs and lectures. In July 2022 I took first place in the prestigious FTD America's Cup which led me to become the competitor for the USA at the Interflora World Cup.
I’m passionate about pushing the boundaries of American floristry and promoting the art form in a fresh and modern way.
Being able to make floristry a successful career and provide for my family, put my daughter through school and travel the world, all through the power and love for flowers.
Hobbies and Interests
Outside of the world of flowers I love yoga, hiking, traveling and reading.
What inspires your competitor's style and floral designs and why?
I get inspired when I give myself the permission to just play with flowers, with no objective or purpose. In these moments I have the unique opportunity to discover ideas and formulations that I haven't thought about or conceptualised. Following the flow and path of the flowers always unlocks some secret to me.
