What is the coral anniversary?
The 35th wedding anniversary is known as the coral anniversary. Coral is the traditional gift and jade is the modern one, with the colour theme running through warm pinks, peaches and oranges. Coral was chosen because it grows slowly over decades and shelters everything around it, which is a rather nice way to describe a long marriage.
There’s no officially agreed-upon flower for the 35th, unlike the 10th or the 30th, so the coral rose has become the accepted choice by following the colour instead. Any warm-toned bloom works just as well: think vibrant hand-ties or soft pastel arrangements in peach and apricot.
